Ludhiana: Landlord accuses tenant of selling use of room, 9 people arrested

Ludhiana: City police have detained at least nine young men who allegedly gathered in a room of a rented house to buy and consume liquor, officials said. The room is located near the Bhadrakali temple here. Although the police have not yet issued an official press release, the house owner, Mohinder Singh, alleged that his tenant was misusing the room to sell drugs. He alleged that the accused was allowing addicts to consume banned drugs in the room. The police detained the young men after the landlord locked the room from outside and called the police. City Jagraon Station-House Officer (SHO) Parminder Singh said that the matter is under investigation.
