Ludhiana NEWS: Crooks duped a woman of Rs 57 lakh
Ludhiana: Sarabha Nagar police have registered an FIR under various sections of IPC and IT Act on the complaint of a woman resident of D Block Agar Nagar. The complainant has registered a case against Kewal Patel, Gaurav Jain and some others for duping her of more than Rs 57 lakh. According to the complainant, she connected with Kewal through Instagram and both became friends and kept chatting for about two months. Kewal duped her of about Rs 57 lakh on the pretext of marriage.
Case registered against 4 in online fraud
In another incident, Model Town police have registered a case against Manish Kumar of South West Delhi, Vijay Singh of Jaipur, Ajay of Panchkula and Prakash Praska of Odisha for duping Model Town resident Daljit Singh. They called Daljit on his mobile and asked him to pay the electricity bill, for which a link was sent. When he opened the link, his phone hung and about Rs 5.75 lakh was withdrawn from his account.
