Ludhiana: Shortage of staff in hospital

Ludhiana: Congress leader Sushil Kapoor Lucky has started a hunger strike against the shortage of staff and other issues at the Civil Hospital due to which patients are facing problems. Lucky said the hospital is short of staff and some machines are also out of order. “Our main demand is to recruit more staff, including Class IV employees, and upgrade the infrastructure. The hospital caters to the needs of the entire district, but its condition is very bad,” he said. He said the employees should be regularised and will continue the hunger strike until their demands are met. BJP youth wing leader Saurav Kapoor and Dr Ambedkar Yuva Sena workers also extended their support to Lucky.
