Mahakaal decorated with puja material in Bhasma Aarti with Chandra and Tripund

Ujjain: In the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar temple today, on the Ekadashi date of Vaisakh Krishna Paksha, during the Bhasma Aarti early on Saturday, as soon as the doors of the temple opened at 4 o’clock, Pandey priest worshiped the idols of God installed in the sanctum sanctorum. Jalabhishek of Lord Mahakal was performed and worshiped with Panchamrit made from milk, curd, ghee, sugar and fruit juice. Hari Om water was offered by ringing the first bell. After Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was made to wear a new crown, Rudraksh and Mund Mala.

The special thing about today’s makeup was that in the Bhasma Aarti of Saturday Ekadashi, Baba Mahakal was decorated with worship materials and given supernatural makeup with Trinetra, Chandra and Tripund. After the adornment, the Jyotirlinga of Baba Mahakal was covered with a cloth and ashes were also offered. Ashes were offered to Lord Mahakal on behalf of Mahanirvani Akhara. During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal. Due to which the entire temple complex resonated with the echo of Jai Shri Mahakal.
