Mahant Avedyanath’s life was dedicated to India and Indianness: Chief Minister Yogi
Gorakhpur (IANS). Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the life of National Saint Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath Ji Maharaj has been dedicated to India and Indianness, social life values and national welfare in accordance with the ideals of his Guru Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj.
The circumstances under which Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avedyanath worked were challenging. He worked vocally against the evil tendencies prevalent in the country at that time, whose relevance remains even today.
CM Yogi was paying homage on Tuesday, the last day of the weekly tribute ceremony organized to commemorate the 54th death anniversary of Yugpurush Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Maharaj and the 9th death anniversary of national saint Brahmalin Mahant Avedyanath Maharaj.
In the tribute ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi said that whatever topic was discussed during the weekly program in memory of Brahmalin Mahantdway, the center of it was country and religion. This topic was also the center of Brahmalin Mahantdvay’s life. Paying heartfelt tribute to both the revered saints, he said that Gorakshpeeth will work with full commitment as per the resolutions of Mahantdvaya.
Alwar Rajasthan MP Mahant Balaknath, who came from Rohtak Haryana to attend the tribute ceremony, said that Gorakshpeeth has played a huge role in building the foundation on which our dynasty rests today. Following the footsteps of Mahant Digvijaynath and Mahant Avedyanath, Yogi Adityanath will also be known as a man of the times in the future.
Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Vasudevacharya said that the biggest act of reverence is in homage. It is a symbol of faith and belief. Brahmalin Mahantdvay of Gorakshpeeth made his invaluable contribution in uniting this nation.
Swami Vidya Chaitanya, who came from Naimisharanya, said that Mahant Avedyanath ji came forward and led on issues like Ram Janmabhoomi and cow protection. Subhash, provincial campaigner of Goraksh province from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, said that there is a long tradition of great saints of Gorakshpeeth. Everyone worked for the social and cultural identity of India.
Former MP Mahant Dr. Ramvilas Das Vedanti, who came from Ayodhya, said that Mahant Avedyanath was not a national saint but an international saint, because he had awakened the Hindus all over the world for the Ram Janmabhoomi.
