Maharashtra government stable under Shinde’s leadership: Ajit Pawar

Mumbai: Maharashtra’s viceminister principal and PCN leader, Ajit Pawar, said on Saturday that the state government is established with the support of more than 200 MLAs and that the state is going well under Shinde’s leadership. He also despised the assertions that the governing alliance was in a bad mood.

Mr. Pawar spoke with the journalists in Karad, where he visited the monument of Yashwantrao Chavan on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Prime Minister of Maharashtra. “How can someone say that a government that counts on the support of 200 deputies is unstable?” asked.

The leader of the PCN, Supriya Sule, said on Friday that the Shinde government was unstable despite counting on the support of more than 200 MLAs and this had paralyzed development in the state. The leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), Aaditya Thackeray, also said that the days of Shinde government are counted and that he will not be there after December 31.

“CM Shinde gives priority to development works. The government ‘Mahayuti’ is doing a good job under his leadership”, said Sr. said Pawar.

Denying that he was dissatisfied with the government, Sr. Pawar said that he had to rest for 15 days due to dengue. “Some people claimed that I had a political disease, but that’s not true. Some even claimed that I met with the Minister of Interior of the Union, Amit Shah, to ask about it. But I’m not the one who asked”, he said.

Mr. Pawar said that the government will soon hold a meeting of district collectors to discuss a situation similar to the drought in the state. It will be presided over by the CM and assisted by both the MCDs.

The PCN leader indicated that the ‘Mahayuti’ (grand alliance) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena led by CM Shinde and the Congress Nationalist Party (Ajit Pawar faction) will hold talks to share the results after the results of the five Elections to the State Assembly in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Telangana. “They are celebrating the elections in the assembly in some states. So, till now they have not celebrated the elections in Maharashtra”, he said.
