Mahindra XUV300 facelift spotted while testing, gets a BE-inspired design
Mahindra XUV300 facelifted is expected to be launched very soon in India and the vehicle has been spotted while testing. The spy images have revealed that the facelift variant gets its front and rear design inspired from BE SUV concepts. However, from the interior, the Mahindra XUV300 is expected to carry on similar powertrain.
Design
The test mule is heavily camouflaged and it is not totally possible to spot its design changes. However, the drop-down LED daytime running lamp is visible through the camouflage and is completely redesigned. We also get a subtle hint that the bumper and headlamp assembly are getting a refreshed design. There is also presence of two-part grille and larger central air intake. In terms of design we expect a resemblance with XUV700.
The tailgate s also completely redesigned and we might get a full-width LED light bar running from one side to another. We also expect a major change in the design of the alloy wheels
Interior
The XUV300 gets an all-new floating touchscreen unit rather than the current 7.0-inch touchscreen. A new design is expected in switchgear, instrument cluster, centre console etc.
Powertrain options
The Mahindra XUV300 facelift is expected to get same engines as the current variant. Users will get three engine options in the XUV300 which includes 2 petrol engines and one diesel engine. The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit generates 110PS and 200Nm while the 1.5-litre diesel engine offers 117PS and 300Nm. The third engine is the 1.2-litre TGDI turbo-petrol engine which generates 130PS power and up to 250Nm torque.
As the SUV launches in India, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza etc.
