Mahua liquor manufacturing plant busted

Mahasamund: As per the direction of the Excise Department and the orders of Collector Prabhat Malik and under the guidance of District Excise Officer Mr. Mohit Jaiswal Sir, action is being taken against those making and selling illegal liquor.

In this context, on Monday, when the Excise Department Circle Saraipali raided the village Kalidarha and Gerra Police Station – Baloda on the banks of the forest and searched around, about 165 liters of hand kiln raw material was found in a hideout filled in 2 plastic polythene and sacks and 2 plastic jerrycans. Mahua liquor and about 1050 kg of Mahua Lahan in 35 plastic bags were seized. A case has been registered against the unknown accused under Section 34(a)(f), 34(2) of the Excise Act and the accused is being traced.
