Man burns mother to death after fight over food

Raigad: In a tragic incident, a man allegedly set his mother on fire in Navkhar village of Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Wednesday. Reportedly, the man burnt his mother to death after quarreling with her on the issue of preparation of a meal.The accused has been identified as Jayesh. As per the reports, Jayesh had a small quarrel with his mother over meal. In the fit of rage, he bet her and allegedly dragged her to an open space in front of the house, collected drywood and set her on fire.After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, rescued the woman and took the injured woman to nearby hospital. However, the woman succumbed to burn injuries while undergoing treatment on Thursday morning.
