Man drowns while bathing in Indravati river in Nabarangpur
Nabarangpur: A senior manager of a construction company drowned while taking a bath in the Indravati river near the outskirts of Nabarangpur city on Monday.
The deceased has been identified senior manager of RK Infra Company Durges Brom Bhatt. According to sources, Durges had gone to the river to take a bath along with his wife and some other staff of the company when he drowned in the deep water.
The staff members rescued him with the help of the locals and rushed him to the nearest hospital in critical condition. However, the doctor declared him brought dead in the hospital.
After postmortem, the body was sent to his village in Bhopal.
This is the second incident of drowning near this check dam in the last 5 days. A few days ago, a student also drowned in the water of the river.
