Man killed after getting hit by truck in Odisha’s Keonjhar dist

Ghatagan: In a tragic incident, a man was killed after getting hit by a speeding truck in the Keonjhar district of Odisha on Saturday. The incident took place near Chakadola Petrol Pump in Dhenkikote area under Ghatagan Police Station limits of the district.

The deceased has been identified as Basanta Das of Samantarapur village near Dhenkikote.

As per reports, the man set out from his house for the Dhenkikote market by walking. When he was passing in front of the Chakadola Petrol Pump a speeding truck came from his rear side and hit him from the back. The unidentified truck then speedily left the scene.

After getting information about the accident, Police reached the spot and initiated investigation. Further probe of the case is underway.
