Man runs away in frustration at Chief Minister’s ‘Nav Kerala Sada’ stage, arrested
Thrissur: A youth who tried to escape from the ‘Nav Kerala Sadas’ stage was stopped by the police and later taken into custody. The incident occurred in Wadakkanchery. A person named Rafiq was arrested for trying to disrupt the CM’s program. Rafiq walked straight to the stage moments after CM Pinarayi Vijayan finished his address.
The police immediately took action and stopped the man from entering the stage. He was later pulled out of the programme, where scenes showed Rafiq arguing with the police. It is being said that Rafiq decided to come to the stage after being disappointed with the government for not resolving his long standing complaint in the CM office. Meanwhile, AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal made fun of ‘Nav Kerala Sada’. A show-off.
He said that people are being treated inferiorly and said that this posh show will not solve any of the problems of the people. The CM and his ministers meet only the elite section of the society. The reason people are coming forward with complaints is because of the poor governance of the LDF during the last seven years. Venugopal said, ‘Nav Kerala Sada’ is a PR extravagance to garner some votes before the Lok Sabha elections.
