Greater Noida: Incidents of lift stuck are being reported every day from high rise societies of Noida and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Due to lack of proper maintenance, this type of accident is causing problems to the people. On one hand, anger is increasing due to the incident and on the other hand, such incidents are not showing any signs of stopping. Every day people are getting stuck in lifts in some high-rise housing society.
The latest case is of Ecovillage-1 Society of Greater Noida West. A resident of the society was stuck in the lift for about 20 minutes. After hard work he could be taken out. The people living in the society have expressed their displeasure regarding this matter.
The people of the society say that many times before this the people of the society have got stuck in the lift. Despite this, the maintenance management is not at all serious about lift maintenance. On Sunday, a resident living in Tower A had boarded the lift to go to his flat. Suddenly the lights went off. Due to which the lift got stuck on the third floor. Tried to raise alarm, but got no help from anyone. The victim tried to contact the maintenance management staff from his mobile, but could not be contacted. The person pleaded for help by banging the door of the lift. People passing by, fearing that someone was trapped, informed the guards posted below the tower. After a lot of effort the person could be taken out.
Society people allege that incidents of people getting stuck in lifts have become common. There are 82 towers in the society. Possession has been given on 5 thousand 57 flats. About 48 hundred families are living here. The population in the society is continuously increasing, but the builder management is not paying any attention towards lift maintenance.
