Man thrashes wife to death in Odisha’s Rayagada district

Rayagada: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly thrashed his wife to death in Rayagada district of Odisha on Thursday. The incident took place in the Gendawalsa village under Seshakhala Police Station limits in Jemadeipentha in Rayagada Block.

As per reports, today morning, after two sons went to work, Baleya Kandagori in an inebriated state went on thrashing his wife with the help of a wooden plank. As a result, the wife, identified as Sindhe Kandagori reportedly died on the spot.

After receiving the news, the two sons rushed to their house and found their mother dead. They informed the villagers and police.

After getting information, police reached the spot, seized the body and initiated probe. Police sent the body to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy. Further investigation of the case is underway.

It has been suspected that the murder was committed over a family dispute.
