Manoj Bajpayee happy to be a part of ‘Jorma’
Mumbai: Ace actor Manoj Bajpayee says he is happy to be a part of survival-thriller ‘Jorma’ as the film transcends boundaries.
‘The Gangs of Wasseypur’ actor said, “I am thrilled to be a part of ‘Zoraam’. The film has really crossed boundaries in all aspects. I am grateful to Devashish for believing in me. We are really “I am overwhelmed by the response.” We’ve come so far, and I’m so excited for everyone to see the trailer because it really gives you a glimpse of what’s to come.”
The film is based on the character of Manoj, a resident of a small village, who is now on the run from the police after being accused of kidnapping, taking his newborn daughter with him.
The father has fled his village and is hiding in remote areas nearby as authorities search for him.
The film’s writer-director Devashish Makhija said, “This survival thriller drama captures the depth of human resilience and the pursuit of life against all odds.
“The whole team is fantastic and fearless, and everyone has worked an incredible amount of hard work. It took years of thought and difficulty to make this film. “We are all excited for the world to finally see it.”
Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who plays an integral supporting character, also spoke in detail about his role.
Talking about his role, Zeeshan said, “I play the character of Ratnakar, a city policeman. He is not affluent and is at the bottom of the social scale, even among his co-workers.
“As someone who grew up in the city, working on this film took me to forests and iron ore mines for the first time. It made me realize how much I can relate to Ratnakar and it inspires you to appreciate what life has given you.
“I learned a lot from this film and I really hope everyone learns something from it too.” ‘Jorma’ will release on December 8.
