MDU-Rohtak official arrested on sexual harassment charges

Haryana: A laboratory technician at Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) in Rohtak has been arrested and sent to judicial custody for physically and sexually assaulting a female colleague.

An FIR was registered against Sunil Saini under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 376 (sexual assault) and 506 (criminal intimidation) based on the complaint of a female employee of the university.
“On April 19, he came to my house when I was alone. He forced himself on me and beat me up,” the complainant said. Samples have been taken and sent for forensic examination,” the police said.
