Meghalaya CM said, the new CFI centre will give students the opportunity to learn foreign languages

Guwahati: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma inaugurated the Care for India (CFI) Center in Nonglum, Umroi, Ri Bhoi district, on November 22nd and announced plans to introduce foreign language training at the organization’s nursing college.
The new retreat center is designed to provide visitors with a place to relax and reflect, while the nursing college will continue to provide quality education to students from Meghalaya and the entire Northeast.
At the inauguration, Sangma announced the state government’s plan to work with CFI to introduce foreign language courses at the institute.
The initiative aims to help young people find job opportunities abroad in the healthcare sector and support their families financially.
“We look forward to working with them to launch foreign language training, enabling our youth to find job opportunities abroad and support their families,” Sangma said in a statement on social media.
He said that nursing and healthcare services are creating significant job opportunities for the youth of the region and praised CFI for creating these opportunities.
He said that this collaboration will further strengthen their shared goal of empowering youth and serving the community.
Umroi Nursing College is training students for careers in healthcare, a sector that is steadily increasing employment opportunities in Meghalaya and the Northeast.
