Minister Harjot Bains met sick children in the hospital
Sangrur. The health of the children suddenly deteriorated after eating food in the Meritorious School in Ghabda near Bhawanigarh. Due to which about 50 children had to be admitted to the hospital. Children fell ill after eating food in school. According to the information, the children have been admitted to the government hospital. As soon as information about the incident was received, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains reached the hospital to inquire about the well being of the students.

Minister Harjot Singh wrote, “After reaching Sangrur, he met the sick students at Civil Hospital Sangrur, the students are now recovering rapidly.” He said the contractor’s license has been canceled and he along with the mess in-charge have been arrested under section 307 of the IPC. The concerned principal has also been suspended for not taking timely action on the complaints of the students.
Teams of Health and Education Department are today checking food and other arrangements in every meritorious schools. He said that the feedback form is being sent to every student of the Meritorious School and it will be monitored personally by the head office.
