Ministers and officers distributed sweets to their loved ones and relatives.

Raipur. During the Congress government in the state, arbitrary and unauthorized recruitments took place on a large scale. Not only the ministers in their respective departments but the Congress leaders, on their recommendations, provided jobs to their favorites in desired departments and institutions even if they did not have the posts. Now after the change of government, voices have started being raised against these appointments. Arbitrary appointments have been made by creating unnecessary posts of contractual and daily wage earners in PWD, Forest Department, Transport Department, Education Department, Health Department and urban bodies. Now demands are being raised to cancel these appointments and appoint them to the vacant posts as per rules. Not only this, many employee organizations are demanding investigation into such backdoor appointments and action against officers and leaders found guilty.

750 recruitments through backdoor in forest department

In the departments of former Transport, Housing and Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar, a large number of favorites were appointed through backdoor. A case of appointment of daily wage earners on 750 posts through back door has come to light in Raipur Forest Division. On the instigation of Congress leaders, officers have given appointments to their favorites on posts like watchman, driver, clerk, computer operator. In the name of plantation protection in places like graveyards, children, dog caretakers and domestic servants have been appointed in the houses of officers including watchmen. Crores of rupees are being spent every month as salaries of these employees. Officials are saying that there should be a provision for appointment of daily wage earners as per requirement in the departments. He also says that if there has been any wrongdoing and if a complaint is received then it can be investigated.
