Minor attempting car stunt rams scooty in Kanpur, Mother died, daughter critical

Kanpur: Minor attempting car stunt turns fatal after the vehicle rammed into a scooty claiming woman’s life and leaving girl injured in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh. The video of the incident is now going viral over the internet.

In the CCTV footage, a speeding Maruti Ciaz can be seen going sideways, ramming the scooter coming from the opposite direction while the woman and her daughter were trying to make a right turn. Following the collision, the woman flung into the air and thrown at least 20-30 feet away.

According to reports, the 17-year-old boy, who was behind the wheels was detained by the locals and was handed over to the police. Later, the cops arrested the minor’s father.

During interrogation, the minor confessed that he did not have a driving license. He further revealed that he bunked school and was trying to perform stunts in his car along with friends.

As per reports, the car carrying two boys and two girls was in speed of more than 100 km per hour and it hit two other vehicles apart from the woman’s scooter.

Following the incident, an FIR has been filed against the accused and probe is underway. Based on the complaint, Kanpur police have registered a case against the minor under sections including unintentional murder, rash driving, endangering the life of another, and causing damage to property.
