Minor girl pregnancy case rocks Rayagada: Class VI student found 6 months pregnant
Rayagada: Another sixth grade student has been found pregnant in Odisha. The incident took place in Kalyansinghpur area of Rayagada district.
After the incident came to light, the minor was presented before the Rayagada Child Welfare Committee today with the help of ASHA and Anganwadi workers. The Child Welfare Committee has been questioning the said minor girl.
According to information, a 17-year-old minor boy from Judi village, Sadar block, Rayagada is a first-year plus 2 student. After the minor had a love affair with the said minor boy, they had physical relationship. Later, after she became 6 months pregnant, the minor girl’s family left the girl at the minor boy’s house.
After the news about this incident was spread, the Rayagada Women and Child Welfare Department rescued the minor and presented her before the CWC. On the other hand, the CWC chairman informed that the investigation into the incident is underway.
