Raipur. Drug trade has started running rampant in the capital due to which even minors and youth have started taking drugs. Police conduct checking campaigns every day. In which many drug smugglers are arrested, but some drug smugglers are one step ahead of the police and have started selling drugs in small streets of the localities. One such case has come to light in Karbala Para area in which ganja was seen in the hands of a minor child who was putting it in gogo and lighting a match to drink it. Then a young man captured this act of a minor in his camera. According to sources, there is a five-storey under-construction ruin at the back of Karbala Para area in which the henchmen of Kota’s ganja king Ashu Soni have made their hideout. Who sit around these ruins of Karbala Para area and do the business of ganja and illegal liquor.
The drug trade is increasing rapidly in the capital as well as in the entire state. From the capital police to the state police, they are curbing the drug trade. But the penetration of drug dealers from other states is worrying. The game of selling ganja is going on in full swing in the capital. Due to this dry drug, the future of the young generation is becoming bleak and the ganja sellers are making money. Many youth in the capital have lost their lives due to drug abuse. Raipur has become a safe place for drug dealers. Ganja is easily smuggled here through Orissa. The police are definitely arresting the smugglers. But it has so far proved unsuccessful in reaching the main drug network. There are many such areas of Raipur including Karbala Para, Baijnath Para, Idgah Bhatha, Amanaka, Golbazar, Kota, Gudhiyari, Kalibari, Nehru Nagar where dry drug trade is going on indiscriminately.
