Mir reviews working of ATU, expresses concern over plight of workers

Apni Party (AP) senior vice president, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that AP is committed to address the problems and improve living standard of people related to trading class in J&K.
He was addressing a meeting of Apni Trade Union (ATU) here today which was organized by ATU J&K president, Ajaz Kazmi.
Discussions were held in the meeting regarding issues to strengthen the trade union and to expand its roots across J&K.
Issues of daily wagers, traders/shopkeepers, hoteliers, and others were also discussed.
Speaking in the meeting Mir stressed on strengthening the Trade Union so that issues of the people related to trade can be resolved.
He assured the working class to address their economic issues by framing a policy for their welfare.
Meanwhile, Apni Party, general secretary, Vijay Bakaya asked various committees and their office bearers to coordinate with each other and take collective decisions so that everyone feels part of the team.
AP’s Provincial president Jammu. Manjit Singh said the Party is committed for implementation of Minimum Wage Act and to regularize over 61,000 daily wagers serving across J&K in different departments.
ATU J&K president, Ajaz Kazmi said that AP will fight for the cause of the neglected class so that their lives can be upgraded.
Earlier, over a dozen people joined AP in presence of Mir.
