Missing girl’s body found near railway track in Malappuram

Malappuram, Kerala: A 14-year-old schoolgirl, who went missing after leaving home for school, was found dead near a railway track in Malappuram district on Friday. Police suspect murder and have detained a juvenile as they continue their investigation.

Locals and relatives have told police that the girl was seen with a boy near Vaniyambalam on Thursday evening. They also told police that the boy had been warned by locals beforehand after it was discovered that he was in a relationship with the girl.
