Raipur. MLA OP Chaudhary took stock of the preparations for the swearing-in ceremony at the Science College grounds. Actually, the swearing-in ceremony of the new CM Vishnu Dev Sai will be held on December 13 at the Science College ground in Raipur in which all the senior leaders of BJP including PM Modi can participate.
After the announcement of the name of CM, Vishnudev Sai met Governor Vishwabhushan Harichandan at Raj Bhavan and staked claim to form the government. Vishnudev had contested elections from Kunkuri assembly seat of Chhattisgarh. In this he defeated Ud Minz of Congress. Vishnudev got 87604 votes and Ud Minj got 62063 votes.
Vishnudev has also been the President of Chhattisgarh BJP. He fulfilled this responsibility for 2 years and 68 days. He has also been an MP from Raigarh seat. When the election results of Chhattisgarh came on December 3, BJP surprised everyone and won the majority.
BJP had won 54 seats in the 90-member assembly, while Congress was limited to 35 seats. Since then, there was a continuous discussion going on for the post of CM in the state. The most suitable face was being considered for the post of CM. When Arjun Munda, as an observer, took advice from the MLAs, all the MLAs agreed on the name of Vishnudev.
