MLAs will be available to the public at the MLA Party Headquarters
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs will now be available at the party seat at Telangana Bhawan and also at the party’s district seat to serve the people of Telangana. BRS acting president KT Rama Rao gave instructions to the newly elected BRS MLAs in this regard and asked them to be available to the people 24 hours and pay attention to their problems.
The party leadership immediately decided to hold an extended meeting of elected representatives of BRS, including MLAs, MLCs and MPs, to introspect on the reasons for the party’s defeat and chart the future course of action. The same dates will be finalized and announced soon.
Congratulating the newly elected MLAs and other top-level leaders during a meeting at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Rama Rao said the BRS government launched various welfare and development programs in the last decade.
Rama Rao said that after the elections there was an overwhelmingly positive response from the people in support of the BRS leadership. Let us tell you that people from all walks of life were sending messages saying that they had never thought that BRS would lose the elections. “Just as we were available to people at the Secretariat and Pragati Bhawan during the last decade, now all MLAs should be available at the party headquarters,” he said.
Kavitha and other senior leaders of MLC also attended the meeting.
Later, the MLAs marched towards Erravelli to meet BRS president and former minister Principal K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his farm. He appreciated the opportunity to serve the people of Telangana and promised to continue strengthening the party.
Meanwhile, there was confusion in the party meeting due to the absence of Medchal MLA CH Malla Reddy, Malkajgiri MLA Mary Rajasekhara Reddy and LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy. However, he clarified that he did not attend the meeting or did not receive the information on time. Later, he joined BRS MLAs during the meeting with Chandrasekhar Rao in Erraveli.
