Mob Attacks U.S. Consulate in Karachi Over Khamenei Death

Karachi: There have been intense protests in Karachi, Pakistan, over the death of Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a deadly attack by US-Israeli forces. Protesters have marched towards the US Embassy in Karachi in large numbers to protest Khamenei’s assassination.
When the police tried to stop them, they pelted stones. They tried to storm the consulate by pushing barricades. The police fired tear gas. However, the protesters did not disperse. A large number of protesters still reached the spot. This led to violent clashes between the police and the protesters. The police lathi-charged. The protesters turned violent. 8 people lost their lives in these clashes. Many were injured.
