Modi govt scared of strength of ‘India’ alliance, be prepared for more attacks: Kharge

Mumbai (IANS). Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge asked allies to brace for more attacks from the ruling party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the third meeting of the India alliance on Friday. He said that the government is worried about the increasing power of the India alliance.

He also targeted BJP and RSS for the increase in hate crimes in the country. Along with this, he was also accused of trying to keep the states under control.

Addressing the leaders of the India Block on the second day of the meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge said that the success of both our meetings in Patna and Bengaluru can be gauged from the fact that in his speeches the Prime Minister has not only attacked us, our beloved country. Compared the name to a terrorist organization and a symbol of slavery.

He said we should be prepared for more attacks, more raids and arrests in the coming months because of the vendetta politics of this government.

The Congress leader stressed that the stronger the India alliance becomes, the more the BJP government will misuse agencies against opposition leaders. He also gave examples of actions of central agencies in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal and recent incidents in Chhattisgarh along with Jharkhand.

Hitting out at the government, Kharge said that today every section of our society – be it farmers, youth, women, marginalised, middle class, intellectuals, NGOs and journalists – all are victims of BJP’s authoritarian misrule . 140 crore Indians are looking towards us with the hope of removing their suffering.

Hitting back at the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Kharge said, “The communal poison that the BJP and the RSS have spread in the last nine years is now being seen in the form of hate crimes against innocent train passengers and innocent school children.” Is.

It is no surprise that when in one part of the country people involved in gruesome rape are released and honored, in another part gruesome crimes and parades of naked women are encouraged. In Modi ji’s India, even the wife of a Kargil war hero is not spared.

The Congress President was referring to the killing of four RPF constables in a train, the naked parade of women in Manipur, the release of the Bilkis Bano rape accused.

Referring to the Madhya Pradesh incident, he said, “It is the BJP government’s indifference towards the marginalized people due to which their leaders urinate on poor tribals and Dalits. The culprits are left to roam free.”

Criticizing the government, the Congress leader said that the central government led by the Prime Minister wants to keep the states under control.

He said states were being deprived of their share of tax revenue. MNREGA dues are not being given to opposition ruled states. Special grants and state specific grants are not released as per the recommendation of the Finance Commission. Investors are forced to shift investments and projects to BJP government states instead of opposition ruled states.

Kharge questioned why he (Rahul Gandhi) demanded a JPC inquiry into the allegations of round-tripping and reports of opaque investments by the Mauritius-based company. It is incomprehensible why the Prime Minister is not getting this matter (Adani case) investigated?

Kharge alleged that the BJP wants complete control over agencies and institutions – it is adamant on controlling the appointment of the ED chief, CBI director, election commissioners, even judges of courts across the country.

According to Kharge, during the three meetings, the India Alliance as a united front has successfully held the government accountable both inside and outside the Parliament. Our power troubles the government. That is why it has pushed important bills in Parliament, suspending our MPs over trivial matters.

Filed privilege motions against us, switched off our mics, did not allow cameras to cover our protests, openly censored our speeches on Parliament TV.

Kharge specifically mentioned, “The success of Chandrayaan 3 and our scientists at ISRO, players like Neeraj Chopra and chess wizard Praggnanandhaa makes all of us proud. I congratulate them all on their success to inspire the next generation.” I want to congratulate.”
