Mohammed Shami said on World Cup success

Ahmedabad. Senior Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami said that there is nothing extraordinary in his bowling and he just focuses on bowling ‘stump to stump’ length to get wickets. Shami has been India’s best bowler so far in this World Cup and has taken 23 wickets in six matches at an economy of 5.01, which includes taking four wickets once and five or more wickets thrice.

He took seven wickets in the semi-final against New Zealand in Mumbai on Tuesday. Shami told ‘Star Sports’, “I always look at the conditions, how the pitch and the ball is behaving, whether the ball is taking swing or not. He said, “If the ball is not swinging, I try to bowl ‘stump to stump’ and try to bowl the ball in such a place that it touches the edge of the bat while the batsman is driving. “

Shami was not included in the playing eleven in the first four matches of the World Cup and could make it to the playing eleven only after all-rounder Hardik Pandya was ruled out of the remaining tournament. Since then Shami has been amazing with his pace and seam, he is able to move the ball in all conditions. Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri also believes that Shami will play an important role in the final against Australia in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
