Mohnish Bahl remembers his mother Nutan on her 35th death anniversary

Mumbai: On her 35th death anniversary on Saturday, actor Mohnish Bahl remembered his mother, the legendary actress Nutan, and paid a heartfelt tribute to the late star.
Mohnish shared a monochrome photo of Nutan on Instagram, who was known for her natural acting in roles of often-distinguished, confused women.
For the caption, he simply used a red heart and folded hands emoji.
In a career spanning four decades and a filmography of nearly 100 films, ranging from urban romances to socio-realist dramas, Nutan made her debut at the age of 14 in her mother’s directorial debut, “Hamari Beti,” in 1950.
She was known for her work in films such as Sujata, Bandini, Milan, Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki, Anari, Chhalia, Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Khandaan, Saraswatichandra, Anurag, and Saudagar.
Nutan was last seen in the 1994 film Insaniyat, in which she appeared posthumously. The legendary star was married to Navy Lieutenant-Commander Rajneesh Bahl from 1959 until her death from breast cancer in 1991.
Speaking of her son, Mohnish made his acting debut in the film Beqarar, in a supporting role alongside Padmini Kolhapuri and Sanjay Dutt. He was then seen in Teri Baahon Mein, a remake of The Blue Lagoon, alongside Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Dutt.
His only commercial success in a lead role was Purana Mandir. He was then seen in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Hum Saath-Saath Hain, which are considered landmark films that transformed him. He has acted in over 100 films.
Mohnish’s daughter, Pranutan Bahl, made her acting debut in 2019 with Notebook.
