People want the AIADMK to be united: OPS interview

Tamil Nadu: Former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam has said that those who want to see a better Tamil Nadu want the AIADMK to unite.
Former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam has been consistently emphasizing the need for unity within the AIADMK. He also claims that this is what the AIADMK cadres want.
OPS, who had left the National Democratic Alliance, went to Delhi on December 2 and met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He said that he discussed the political situation in Tamil Nadu with him.
Meanwhile, a general council meeting of the AIADMK, led by General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, is underway today.
Responding to reporters’ questions about this, OPS said,
“We should ask the general council leaders why there is a need for everyone in the AIADMK to unite.”
He added, “Those who want to see a better Tamil Nadu want all the divided factions of the AIADMK to come together.”
