MP: Conclusion of Sanskar Shala; emphasis placed on Brahminhood and cultural values.
Madhya Pradesh: The three-day ‘Sanskar Shala’ organized by Shri Gurjar Gaur Brahmin Samaj concluded on Sunday. The main objective of this program was to connect the young generation with values, spirituality, discipline and Indian cultural values.
The program started with the ritual worship of Lord Ganapati and Guru Akshapad Maharishi Gautam and lighting of the lamp. A large number of society members, students and dignitaries were present on this occasion. During the entire event, coordination of religious atmosphere and cultural activities was seen.
In the concluding session, keynote speaker Pandit Deveshwar Joshi, who came from Mandsaur, addressed the gathering. He said that the real identity of a Brahmin lies in his ‘Brahminism’, which is developed not by birth alone but by regular spiritual practice, good deeds and moral conduct. He said that values in life strengthen a person’s character and determine his role in society.
In his address, Pandit Joshi highlighted in detail the importance of following traditions, evening worship, yajnopavit rites, worship and moral values. He said that even in modern times, it is necessary to understand and adopt these traditions, because they bring balance and discipline in life.
It was also told in the program that the objective of Sanskar Shala was not only to impart religious knowledge, but also to develop life values, self-discipline and a sense of social responsibility in children and youth. In this event which lasted for three days, values based education was imparted through various sessions.
The organizers said that there is a continuous need for such programs to maintain cultural values in the society. He also expressed hope that such events will be organized on a more widespread scale in the future, so that the new generation can remain connected to their traditions and roots.
At the closing ceremony, the people present appreciated the program and described it as a positive initiative for the society. At the end of the event all the participants were bid farewell with blessings and inspiration.
