Muharram procession: Tazia came under the grip of high tension wire, there was chaos
Gopalganj: There is big news of this time from Gopalganj of Bihar. During a Muharram procession in the district, a large number of people came under the grip of high tension current in which 10 people got scorched. The condition of four is worse. All four of them have been referred to Gorakhpur. The remaining are being treated at Gopalganj Sadar Hospital. It belongs to Harpur Safi Tola and Dharmachak village of Uchkagaon police station area.
The Tajia procession had left Harpur and was going towards Dharampur. This accident happened while performing stunts on the way. Some of the people in the procession had iron pipes with green bamboo and green twigs in their hands. The 11 KVA wire was hanging very low at the spot. The poles and pipes of the acrobats collided with the 11 KVA wire, causing electrocution. After getting electrocuted, people started running here and there, in which many people got injured.
More than 10 people have been admitted to Sadar Hospital, out of which the condition of four is critical. The negligence of the electricity department has come to the fore in the matter. District SP Swarna Prabhat has said that the police have reached the spot. Some people had green bamboos in their hands which got stuck in the high tension wire and this accident happened. Police is investigating.
