Mumbai: A cool morning brought some relief, but pollution persisted, polluting the city’s air.

Maharashtra: The weather in Mumbai was cool and pleasant on Saturday morning, providing a brief respite from the city’s humid weather. Clear skies, light winds, and relatively low temperatures made the morning hours comfortable and pleasant. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature dropped to around 18°C, while the maximum temperature was expected to reach around 32°C. These conditions made it one of the city’s best winter days this season.
Despite the good weather, environmental concerns persisted. Smog lingered in many parts of Mumbai, indicating that air pollution remains a serious issue. Data from the air quality monitoring platform AQI.in showed that the city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was 205 on Saturday morning, falling into the ‘unhealthy’ category. At such levels, prolonged exposure can cause health problems, especially in children, the elderly, and people with asthma or other respiratory diseases.
