Mumbai Powai kidnapping case: Crime Branch records statement of accused’s wife

The accused, Rohit Arya, had hatched the plan to hold the children hostage to extort ₹2 crore (20 million rupees) from a project he had undertaken for the School Education Department during the tenure of former Maharashtra Minister Deepak Kesarkar. Police issued a statement regarding the incident, stating that Arya was killed in a dramatic shootout at RA Studios in Powai.
