Lucknow (IANS). On Saturday, in Dharamsinghwa police station area of Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh, a man hacked his wife to death with an axe. During this time he has also injured one of his children. This information was provided by the police
Sant Kabir Nagar Superintendent of Police Satyajit Gupta said that in Dharamsinghwa police station area, a man attacked his wife with an axe, due to which she was seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital, where he died. His son also got injured during rescue and is admitted to the hospital. Police have sent the woman’s body for postmortem.
According to family members, there was a dispute at night but they intervened and calmed it down. Everyone had food and slept. At around 1 o’clock in the night, Sai Mohammad woke up and attacked his wife Saira who was sleeping in the courtyard with an axe. Hearing the mother’s scream, son Israr (20), who was sleeping in the adjacent room, ran to the spot. When he caught hold of his father, the father pushed him down and also attacked him with an axe.
When the people of the house woke up after hearing Israr’s scream, the accused Sai Mohammad fled from the spot. It is being told that some time ago the accused had divorced his wife and a Panchayat was to be held in the village regarding this.
