Naina Nagendran is switching her seat out of fear of defeat: Former MP
Tamil Nadu: Former MP O.P. Raveendranath stated that BJP leader Nainar Nagendran is contemplating switching his constituency out of fear of defeat.
Speaking on Tuesday at a consultative meeting organized by the DMK in Thalayuthu, near Tirunelveli—held under the theme ‘Tamil Nadu Will Not Bow Down’—he remarked: “Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is the individual who, despite facing numerous challenges—including a shortage of adequate funds for Tamil Nadu—has surmounted every obstacle to fulfill the promises made to the people of the state. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is plagued by various internal issues and confusion; all the parties affiliated with it are destined to fail. Tamil Nadu BJP leader Nainar Nagendran hails from the Tirunelveli constituency. In the previous Lok Sabha elections, he trailed by a margin of over 40,000 votes in this very seat. Now, fearing defeat in the upcoming Assembly elections, he is actively seeking an alternative constituency for himself.”
“The AIADMK has failed to adhere to the path charted by MGR and Jayalalithaa. Today, Edappadi has effectively become the sole embodiment of the AIADMK. The DMK has consistently functioned as a movement dedicated to safeguarding social justice in Tamil Nadu for the past 75 years.” He further asserted that in the 2026 Assembly elections, the DMK-led alliance would undoubtedly secure more than 200 seats.
