Nashik horror: Biker’s throat slit with nylon string on Dwarka flyover; condition critical

Maharashtra: A shocking incident occurred on the flyover between Mumbai Naka and Dwarka, where a biker’s throat was slit by a nylon string. Prakash Bhimaji Somshe (48) was traveling with his wife on a motorcycle towards Dwarka. His throat was severely injured when the string became entangled in the nylon string at around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday (December 31).
Due to the deep wound, he was bleeding profusely and was seriously injured. Ganesh Shahane, the driver of a four-wheeler coming from behind, showed presence of mind and stopped his vehicle and admitted Somshe to a private hospital in Mumbai Naka.
Hospital sources stated that Somshe had a 12 to 15 centimeter deep wound on his neck and was in critical condition. Further treatment is underway.
In view of Makar Sankranti, the administration has banned the sale of nylon string and is also taking action. However, it has once again been proven that nylon manja is taking lives on flyovers, roads, and public spaces. Drivers and citizens are angry and demanding strict action against those using nylon manja.
