Navneet Malik excited about his negative character in ‘The Freelancer’

New Delhi (IANS). Actor Navneet Malik, who has enthralled the audience with his performances in ‘Love Hostel’ and ‘Heropanti 2’, is all set to start an exciting new project.

The actor will be seen playing a negative character in filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming series ‘The Freelancer’.

Navneet is playing a negative character on screen for the first time.

Talking about the same, he said: “In ‘The Freelancer’, I play Mohsin, who is Aaliya’s husband. The two are a deeply in love couple, but their happy life takes a dangerous turn, Which serves as a twist in the story of the series. I am playing a gray character, which means viewers will get to see both the good and bad sides of Mohsin.”

On her decision to be a part of the show, Navneet said, “When I came to know that this series is being produced by Neeraj Pandey sir, I was overjoyed and knew I had to be a part of it. When I found out about it, it felt like it was made just for me.”

He said, “Playing Mohsin gives me an opportunity to showcase both positive and negative shades and I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity at this stage of my career. The plot, story and characters are absolutely amazing, and I am looking forward to being part of the story.” Will make a big impact.

The Freelancer stars Mohit Raina as Freelancer, Anupam Kher as brilliant analyst Dr. Khan and Kashmira Pardesi as Alia.

The series is based on the book ‘A Ticket to Syria’ by Shirish Thorat. The story revolves around the rescue operation of a young girl who is held captive in war-torn Syria.

Bhav Dhulia took over as the director. The series also stars the talented Sushant Singh, Manjari Phadnis, Sara Jendias, John Kokken and Gauri Balaji in important roles.

It will soon air on Disney Plus Hotstar.
