Nawazuddin Siddiqui expressed his desire to play this character

Panaji (ANI): Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui attended the press conference for his upcoming film ‘Rauthu Ki Belly’ at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa on Saturday.
During the event, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “I have never kept myself in any pocket where I keep playing only a particular type of character. Thanks to my directors for this. He always made sure that he could make me do anything. I like this.” Because if I keep doing the same roles I will get bored of myself.
“Sometimes when we experiment something doesn’t work but it’s a learning opportunity. I do different roles to learn the lessons of life.”
When asked about any character he would play in the future, he said, “If I get a chance, I would like to play the role of spiritual guru Osho.”
Talking about the film, Nawazuddin said, “‘Rautu Ki Belly’ is based on a village where a mystery happens and then how a policeman solves it, the story revolves around it.”

“It is a murder mystery and has a very unique genre. The method of investigation is so simple that you will feel that we are living the film. I am playing the character of a cop and it is the life of a small town, there is a police station there.
There is a policeman in the same village and his team who investigate slowly and at their own pace.”
Talking about IFFI he said, “It is a great festival. I came last year also. I hope that the dignity and credibility that is there will remain intact in the future also.”
It is noteworthy that ‘Rautu Ki Belly’ has been directed by Anand Surpur and it stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role.

The film is set in the hill village of ‘Rautu Ki Belly’ in North India, and follows Inspector Negi’s investigation after a school warden is found dead in the town.

Shariq Patel, CEO of Z Studios and screenwriter of the film ‘Rauthu Ki Belly’, said that the film is a genre-breaker in terms of its portrayal of characters and is a unique murder mystery. He also said that the film will be available on ZEE5 in early 2024. (ANI)
