Naxal couple involved in major incidents surrendered
Bijapur. Recently, due to the efforts of Bijapur Police, Bhairamgarh Area Platoon Section Commander and RPC CNM member, influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government, has renounced the Naxal sect and surrendered before the police. The said Naxal couple were involved in many important incidents. According to the information received from the police, on Tuesday, Bhairamgarh Area Committee’s Platoon No. 13 B Section Commander Roni Padam alias Jaini (32) Punem Para Palanar police station Gangalur and Palanar RPC CNM member Anil Padam (24) Palanar Patelpara police station Gangalur, Bijapur Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Vashney. Impressed by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the state government, he surrendered before the top police officers. On surrendering before the police, the said Naxalite couple was given a cash incentive of Rs 25,000 each under the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government to encourage them. According to the police, Roni Padam was recruited as a member of Bal Sangam in the year 2004. Worked as CNM member in the year 2005. Worked as Palanar GRD member in the year 2006. Usur served as LOS PLGS member in the year 2007. From 2010 to 2014, he worked as PPM in Platoon No. 22 of CRB Dalam and as Commander of Platoon No. 22 B Section. Ronnie was involved in the Neelmadgu Police Naxalite encounter incident in the year 2009. She was involved in the Kokra encounter incident in 2013 and the Bechapal encounter incident in 2015. Whereas Anil Padam was recruited in the organization on the post of Bal Sangam member of village Palanar from the year 2007 to 2010. In the year 2011, Palanar was promoted from the post of Bal Sangam member to the post of RPC CNM member. Till the year 2023, Palanar RPC used to perform sentry duty along with Bhumkal militia members on the post of CNM member. Anil Padam was involved in the incident of planting pressure IED and blast in Gangalur road in the year 2020 to cause harm to the police party. The year 2020 was involved in the incident of blocking the road by digging a pothole on the road from Gangalur to Cherpal.
