Naxalites’ big plot to wreak havoc failed, 40 IEDs laid in the forest recovered
Ranchi (IANS). Jharkhand Police has foiled a major conspiracy by Naxalites to create havoc. Police and security forces recovered 40 IED bombs from Kuku forest in Latehar district of the state. The bombs were planted underground to target the security forces.
It was told that when the security forces were conducting a search operation in the Kuku forest of Garu police station, they saw a wire under a tree. When they removed the soil, they saw that IED bombs had been planted there. The security forces informed the senior police officers about this.
On information, the BDDS team reached the forest and defused the recovered IED bombs. The IED bombs recovered were weighing 35 to 40 kg. After neutralizing them, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. In the search operation, 150 meters codex wire, 80 feet safety fuse, 8 pressure series mechanism and many other items were recovered.
