NEET short-term training camp begins for government school students in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu: A special short-term training camp is being launched for government school students in Tamil Nadu to strengthen their preparation for the medical entrance exam, NEET. The camp will begin on Saturday (May 23) and continue until June 11. The program was announced by S. Kannappan, Director of the School Education Department.

This initiative aims to provide students from government and government-aided schools with the opportunity to better prepare for national-level competitive exams like NEET, enabling them to perform better in higher education.

According to reports, students in Plus 1 and Plus 2 classes in government higher secondary schools are already invited to special classes every Saturday to prepare them for various higher education-related competitive exams. Further expanding this practice, a separate and focused training program has been launched for the NEET exam.

This new program will cover students from all government and government-aided higher secondary schools across the state who are interested in taking the NEET exam. This training will be conducted at the district level to ensure maximum student benefit.

During the camp, students will receive subject-wise training, with a special focus on core subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students will also be given regular mock tests to better understand the exam pattern and time management.

In addition, this training program will also include guidance from educational experts, helping students understand exam strategies and important topics. Officials believe this expert guidance will play a vital role in boosting students’ confidence.

Incentives have also been provided to teachers participating in this initiative to enable them to conduct the program more effectively and provide better guidance to students.

The School Education Department states that this program will be particularly beneficial for students in rural and government schools, as they will receive additional resources and opportunities to prepare for competitive exams.

Officials have also clarified that this training program will be conducted in a completely systematic manner and monitored at the district level. Guidelines have been issued to all concerned schools for the successful conduct of the camp.

This initiative is being considered an important step towards improving the quality of education in the state and preparing students for national-level competitive examinations.
