Nephew killed his real uncle over land dispute
Bastar. The nephew has killed his real uncle over a land dispute in a village in the district. It is being told that the uncle was sleeping outside the house. According to the information, this case is related to Patelpara of Silkakjodi village in the district. Hadmo Poyami (55), a resident of this village, and his nephew Baman Poyami were having a land dispute for the last 4-5 years. It is said that the land was divided between Baman’s father Takka and Hadmo. After the death of the father, there was a dispute between the uncle and nephew regarding the land situated on the hill side. Hadmo used to cultivate that land claiming it as his own possession. Baman refused to do so. At the same time, a few days ago there was a lot of ruckus between the two regarding this matter. After which Baman reached his uncle’s house on the late night of 10 August. Hadmo was sleeping alone outside the house. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Baman choked his uncle. Then, saying why is he occupying my land, he stabbed him in the neck and cut it.
Meanwhile, hearing the noise, the family members who were sleeping inside the house came out. Who saw Baman running away. There Hadmo was lying in a pool of blood. The relatives informed the people of the village about this in the night itself. On the other hand, in the early hours of August 11, when the police got the news of the murder, the jawans left for the spot. The matter was investigated. After which Baman, who was hiding in his house, was taken into custody. When the one who was brought to the police station was interrogated, he accepted his crime. Police officers have also recovered the weapon used in the crime from him. Today the accused youth will be produced in the court.
