Tragic! 7-yr-old girl succumbs to rabies in spite of vaccines in Kerala

Kollam: In a tragic and shocking incident, a seven-year-old girl in Kerala succumbed to rabies despite having received anti-rabies vaccinations, said reports.

According to reports, the deceased minor girl was a native of Pathanapuram area in Kollam district of Kerala. It is worth mentioning that the girl died while undergoing treatment at the SAT (Specialist Anaesthesia Treatment) wing of the Government Medical College in Thiruvananthapuram.

It is worth mentioning here that, this is reportedly the third death of a child reported in the state within the last month due to rabies infection. This incident raised concerns about the growing problem of stray dog attacks.
