New Year 2024: Special arrangements by Puri Police for crowd management before the New Year

Puri: Special arrangements will be made by Puri Police for crowd management in the city and Jagannath Temple before the New Year 2024. The police force in Puri has been briefed by the ACP today regarding crowd management and facilitating hassle-free darshan of Lord Jagannath.

It is estimated that more than one lakh devotees will reach the holy city of Puri in the New Year to have the darshan of the Holy Trinity. Police force has been increased in almost all parts of Puri to control the crowd. In the meeting, the ACP, while giving information to the Puri police officers, said that people’s safety, traffic management and darshan of Lord Jagannath will be given special priority.

The ACP said that to manage the crowd effectively, Badadanda and Jagannath temples have been divided into several sectors. It has been decided that the temple will remain open till late night and then open early to help the devotees and make their visit hassle free.
