News of rock falling from Dongargarh hill, no loss of life
Dongargarh. A huge rock slipped and fell from the world famous Maa Bamleshwari hill on Monday morning, causing panic in the area. Due to the falling of the rock, many big trees collapsed and a part of the new stairs built behind for darshan was badly damaged. Due to this, the route to the temple has been closed.
Local people said that such an accident has happened for the first time on the hill. Maan Bai Netam said, in the morning a sound like thundering clouds came. Our son shouted that Maai the stone is falling. We have been here since childhood, but saw such a thing for the first time. It was fortunate that the rock got stuck on other rocks, otherwise a big accident could have happened on the houses and roads below.
Blast blasting was done to remove a big rock on top of the hill, which weakened the structure of the hill. Apart from this, unscientific construction on the hill for a long time, cutting of stones and indiscriminate cutting of trees are also being considered as the reason for this accident.
