Nicki Minaj regrets plastic surgery
Los Angeles: Singer-songwriter Nicki Minaj regrets some of her plastic surgery decisions. “I guarantee you, if you change anything in your body and do anything surgical and all that, you will – more than likely, certainly not, more than likely – one day look back and say, ‘I was fine just the way I was,’ she said.
The 40-year-old rapper confessed his regret on Thursday’s episode of The Run-Through with Vogue podcast, People magazine reports.
“The same thing happened to me,” Nicki told podcast hosts Chioma Nnadi and Chloe Maley. I couldn’t even believe some of the pictures I didn’t like.”
During the interview celebrating Nicki’s cover story for Vogue’s November issue, the co-hosts reminded the singer about the moment she joined Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour at the Carolina Herrera show in September 2011 Were.
According to People, Nicki immediately told the co-hosts that she didn’t like to look at old photos of herself “because I didn’t like the way I looked.”
“I don’t like being skinny, having a flat butt, you know. Having breasts that aren’t high enough. It was a lot of things,” she continued.
The singer added: “And when I look back at myself now, I’m literally like, ‘Oh, I’m going to look like that girl again.’
Nikki added, “The reason I couldn’t look back at old photos of myself was because I didn’t like the way I looked physically.”
“And now I like the way that person looks physically.”
The ‘Starships’ rapper explained how his decision to make the transition stemmed from his growing public persona. Her passion for music has landed her in a “very scary” environment, akin to a “fishbowl”, with “millions” of people watching her.
