Nijagunanand Swamiji said- Swamiji should stay away from politics
Dharwad: “Swamiji should stay away from politics. Politics of religion should not be propagated and politics of religion should not be indulged in,” said Sri Nijagunananda Swamiji. Responding to Nonvinakere Swamiji’s statement on DK Shivakumar becoming CM in Dharwad, he said, “Not only Lingayat Swamiji, but also religious leaders including Maulvis and priests should not enter politics.”
“Whatever we do, it should be about religion, culture and rituals. All the communities have come out of the premises. It seems as if the abbot is in politics. Media is also no different from politics. The role of both media and Swamiji is failing. Today the balance in the society has been disturbed. It is true that abbots should not enter politics. Swamiji can give advice and guidance to politicians. “There is no question of Swamiji wooing politicians,” he said.
“Politicians should be careful while using Swamiji. They should be used only for religious purposes. Swamiji should be careful when politicians are used for other purposes. All groups come to monasteries. Swamiji should be careful while talking to him. Abbots should not do this.” Abuse for politics. Politicians should have this awareness. Then there will be no pressure on any abbot,” he said.
“Before democracy, there was Prabhu tradition. Then the Maharaja used to give advice to everyone. The monasteries have educational institutions, free prasadam shelters. Are orphans. Thousands of books have to be published. Monasteries are shelters for musicians who have lost their royal patronage. Monasteries should provide opportunities for many people. The grants coming to monasteries are democratic tax money. “However, the services of the monastery are available to all citizens. So, the government gives grants,” he said.
DK Shivakumar will become CM – Sri of Nonavinakere: There is every possibility that DK Shivakumar will become the next Chief Minister of the state, says Sri Karivrishab Desikendra Shivayogeswara Swamiji of Nonavinakere. Speaking to the media while participating in the Deepotsav program of Sri Pattaladamma Devi organized at Kadalur village in Maddur taluk, he said, “They are also devotees of our math and we are also committed to it.” He said that there is an opportunity in the coming days.
