No Fuel for Vehicles Without PUC in Delhi Amid Pollution

The national capital Delhi is caught in the grip of pollution. For the last few days, air pollution in the capital city has been recorded at dangerous levels. In some areas, AQI levels have been recorded as high as 500. People are facing severe problems due to severe air pollution. In this context, the Delhi government has taken a key decision to control pollution.
To this end, strict measures have been announced. As part of this, it has ordered that vehicles without Pollution Under Control Certificates should not be refueled at petrol pumps. Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh has made it clear that non-Delhi private vehicles with standards below BS-6 will not be allowed into the capital. He revealed that these rules will come into effect from December 18. He said that pollution levels in winter have been mostly the same for a decade.
